I've never stayed anywhere where the staff were so attentive without being intrusive and automatically went the extra mile (inlcuding 5 star hotels). The rooms were exceptionally equipped, adequately sized with modern decor, free wifi and latop in room, free bottles of water replenished every day, luxury bathroom and soft towels and bed. When I unfortunately had to attend the hospital whilst in Hanoi the hotel provided a taxi and interpreter from the hotel without being asked or expecting anything in return - amazing service! A great team of employees who make you feel like a visiting friend rather than hotel customer.
The room we stayed in had an internal window to allow natural daylight in which was carefully covered by a blind to ensure privacy. The room never felt dark so not really a negative but an unusual quirk to the room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a triple room for three adults. The toiletries were renewed every day. They were always willing to phone for a taxi and they let us print our boarding passes off. There were lovely touches when we got there with a welcoming ginger tea and rose petals in the basin and on the beds. The breakfast was good.
Staff were very helpful and concerned when I needed a doctor. Our room faced the busy Shoe Street but was quiet at night. The bed was huge and very comfortable-not too hard like some in Asia. There was a lot of choice at breakfast which varied each day ( we stayed 4 days). One charming waitress told us the story of the founding of Hanoi. Tour & taxi bookings were prompt & efficient. We can recommend Meracus.
So many things to love about this hotel... First the friendly and helpful staff, the amazing breakfast, lovely interior of the hotel, and the location is right in the heart of shops and restaurants, (lots of shoe stores on the same road of the hotel if that's your thing), and the showers in the rooms are the best I have ever used Would definetly stay at the hotel again!
Nothing, it was simply perfect.
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in over 4 hours early - this was greatly appreciated as we were tired from a long flight.
The room was a little small for a deluxe room but it was very comfortable.
Every thing!! Location, staff, amenities, breakfast all top notch.
Sometimes wifi was not working or a weak signal in room. Ok in lobby.
Location, excellent staff, services
Dining room very small. For a luxury and a luxury rate the room was very small, not enough space to move around or to leave lugauge.
The Meracus staff were so friendly and helpful and helped us book our train tickets to Sapa and overnight stay at Halong bay. They also arranged transport to the train station and sent one of their staff with us to ensure we got on the correct train (at a small fee, but well spent). Rooms were lovely and had a lovely touch of flowers decorated in the room and welcome drink on arrival. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful in recommending dishes. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Hanoi.
Quality of service Complete and varied breakfast
Second time in his hotel and once again room wifi is either not working or too slow. Actually the hotel laptop computer was not working and I had to rely on my tablet to get temporary access. Room 503 has indeed a window but bringing no light as it is directed to the elevator column.
Everything about this hotel was amazing, the staff, the rooms, the food, the comfort, the location all brilliant. We managed to get a flash deal on this hotel making it even cheaper, which was a bonus. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Hanoi.
I cannot fault it. The staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly and provided all the required information without even being asked. The location is excellent. The rooms have a lot of much appreciated small touches such as fresh fruit, fresh petals on the bed and in the bathroom, bottled water. The rooms are well planned albeit, not huge but I wouldn't xpect them to be in an old city location. Breakfast was very good. My only criticism is that the coffee wasn't very hot but that was no big deal and outweighed by the excellence of everything else. Highly recommended!
Nothing at all of significance. Btw, I am listed as London but I live in Singapore and can compare this hotel with many others in Asia.
the location of this hotel is really excellent. the welcome drinks are brilliant once you arrive, just helps you to relax. we were on the 6th floor with a balcony, this was a deluxe double and it was very comfortable and spacious. the hotel staff at reception were EXCELLENT. one of them actually helped me call a local book store in HANOI and spoke to the person in vietnamese, found out that they had the book i needed, and then relayed this information to me in english so i didnt waste a trip across town. this hotel is good quality, but the helpful staff really bring it to another level. highly recommended for service, location, and price.
would have been nice to have a bar in the hotel. (minor complaint i know) breakfast is in the basement which is a very small space. having said that they make the most of it with good food.
The staff were fabulous and the location superb! Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and served our welcome drinks. During check-in, a map was given to us. This provided a recommended walking tour, places of interest as well as locations of recommended food. The staff were always ready to answer any questions and had the initiative to call our travel operator when we were waiting at the lobby beyond the stated time. Location was great too, just a couple of minutes from Hoan Kiem Lake, good choices of food within walking distance too. Upon booking, the hotel will send an email and arrange for pickup from airport (additional cost), making the transfer hassle-free.
Breakfast choices were a little limited.
Excellent small hotel right near the centre of Hanoi.
Only small area (5 tables, 18 chairs) available for breakfast.
Everything!!! Great location at the heart of Hanoi old city, Great rooms (especially the delux room which is big and comportable and a total value for money), And the best part - amazing staff - starting from welcome beverages, helping us with tour arrangements, caring about each of our needs. we are travelling a lot and i can say that i've never experienced such professional and friendly service
